Mobile App to Book Sport Activities for Children
XYZ is an organization in the UK that provides sports and childcare activity during school holidays at many different venues throughout the Midlands and offers you and your child a safe, fun, flexible, and affordable childcare solution. The primary focus of this organization is to provide childcare to their parents in a much more active way where children can get involved in physical activities like cricket, dance, football, etc. types of activities. So, this organization takes bookings from the parents for their children during school holiday time so the children could spend the holidays much actively than sitting idle at home or just watching Television.
Problems faced by XYZ Company
XYZ wanted to enhance its online booking experience and make it much more convenient. XYZ organization was already having an online booking portal for the parents so, they can book sports activities for their child. Each time anyone whether parents or staff required to perform a booking they need to get a hand on any desktop computer.
So, the client wanted a much handier solution for this so anyone can book from anywhere no dependency on computers.
Our client wanted a solution for his requirement so after going through their complete requirement we talked with the client and explained to them that mobile apps will be the best medium for them to reach out to customers in a much easier and handy way, as compared to your online booking portal which they already have.
The reason is that the same set of customers that access your business through a desktop could potentially connect with your brand on the go through their smartphones it will also enhance your brand value. We explained this is the solution you are looking for and the client like it very much and agreed to go ahead with the mobile app. Mobile apps give a lifetime valued customer base instead of one-time shoppers.
We provided a solution as a mobile app for accepting a booking from parents for their children and pushing the data to the MS CRM. For all sports activity Centres across the Midlands. This app maintains an updated list of contacts on the CRM system based on the list of customers/parents XYZ Company registers through the XYZ online booking mobile app.
Following features were implemented in mobile app to overcome client expectations:
1. A Parent login is being given after login parent lands to the home page of the mobile app, from there he can select a sports activity with the respective dates or weeks to book for their children’s.
2. Each booking process has a set of functionalities that allows user to apply discounts, coupons, and at the end the select the payment type.
3. As the booking is done the system send a mail to the parent’s email id with the detail of the booking details and receipt of the booking.
4. As the parents successfully booked sports activity for their child it is being saved in MS CRM with complete details as the activities performed from the mobile app.
5. Including these features, parents can also see the sports activity venue on google map and can see path or distance from his current location.
6. Parents can see his booking history within the App.
7. When child check-in at venue parents get a notification that child has checked in to XYZ venue at xx time.
8. Parents can see available offers and news from the XYZ sports company.
9. Parents can directly contact sports venue from the app, by navigating to Get in Touch option, they can send mail or call to any sport’s venue.
10. Parents can also submit their feedback by clicking on the Feedback option and select any sport’s venue.
11. Parents can also manage their profile information from the app and can add or edit their child.
The MS CRM holds the booking information for all the venues of the XYZ sports activity Centre throughout the Midlands. As of now, our mobile app is been used along with their existing web booking portal to take a booking from the parents for all the sports activity centers across the Midlands.
