MS CRM 2013 introduced new forms design. This will allow users to use these features while designing new forms and also to modify existing ones. For the purpose of system customizers to take advantage of the new forms introduced in CRM 2013, subsequent enhancements have been made to the form editor too.
Here I have discussed two important points while editing the form.
1) Three Tab columns.
2) User can specify the max width in pixels at a form level.
On the form click the “Tab” here I have taken ‘Details’ double click this tab a Tab Property form will open as shown in screen shot > select Formatting option and set the required fields. Previously 3 tab column layouts were possible through SDK.
The reflow behavior is based on the concept of templates, which define the number of tab columns and the default widths in ratio. Templates are the starting point for users designing the form layout.
The Tab properties dialog includes such predefined templates, based on best practices, as shortcuts to create tab structures quickly.
The user can select one of the 3 options – 1 column/2 Column / 3 Column, and the corresponding templates in order to provide pre-defined widths to the tab columns. In the form select ‘INSERT’ and also provided using the column with fields below.
