How can you implement the business rule in Microsoft Dynamic CRM 2013?

It is an interesting functionality to be noted in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 and this will be a great feature for a lot of users in our business and also user friendly which are not very much technical. It is used for developer to develop in order to implement business rule.

  • Business Rules run client-side similar to JavaScript on the form.
  • Business Rules web forms and on mobile applications.
  • Business Rules are applicable for all entities custom and out of the box customizable entities.
  • Business Rules are applicable on single and more than or on all forms.
  • There are various ways you can create a business rule.

Follow these steps as given below:

You can access it through the Opportunity Entity and then select the Business Rules (Figure 1).

Or you can edit the opportunity form and select any field (Figure 2:)

Click on this field and open new window (Figure 3:) and follow this rule of this figure.

Let’s look at the Business Rule form.

  •  You cannot select more than one form. 
  •  Enter name for the business rule
  •  Enter the any conditions that would enable the actions for the business rule.
  •  Enter the actions that would occur when the above conditions is/are met.  
  • Enter the description for the Business Rule.                                                                 

Select any field for example. “Type” and select field “value” then select option set value “Operator” follow this screenshot below.

Set Visibility – Select any field for example “Account” determines whether the field will show on the form or whether it will be hidden.

 

Check your condition then select any field for example. “Account” and Status “Show field” whether the field will be show on the form.

Check your condition then select any field for example. “Area” and Status “Hide field” whether the field will be hide on the form.
